Our Partners

At The Play Commons, we believe in weaving a network of meaningful partnerships that honour children, families, and educators. Our partners are more than collaborators – they are trusted associates who walk alongside us in reimagining what learning and play can be. Together, we build communities that are creative, reflective, and inclusive.

The Grounded Collective (TGC) *Formerly The Learning Caravan (TLC)

The Grounded Collective carries forward the pioneering legacy of The Learning Caravan, blending years of experience in child-led, play-based programming with a renewed focus on advocacy, inclusivity, and community building. By bringing educators, parents, and changemakers together, TGC creates bridges between practice, research, and systems change. Their ongoing support in resources, programming, and environment design has been foundational in shaping The Play Commons.

Third Teacher Collective (TTC)

Third Teacher Collective is dedicated to professional development, pedagogical coaching, and international study tours for educators. With a focus on reflective practice and the image of the child, TTC empowers teachers and leaders to embrace respectful, creative, and play-centred approaches in their classrooms. Their expertise strengthens our shared mission of building learning spaces that honour trust and agency.

Beyond the Page (BTP) *Resident Partner at The Play Commons

Beyond the Page is a picture-book–based community that lives both at The Play Commons and online. More than a curated bookstore, BTP turns stories into living experiences through reflective reviews, family-friendly Picture Book Pop-Ups, and a growing line-up of programmes for children and adults inspired by literature. These programmes invite participants to play, create, and reflect beyond the pages of the book – transforming reading into connection, imagination, and lifelong learning.

Together with our partners and resident brand, we are cultivating a community where play and learning thrive, where children’s voices are honoured, and where families and educators feel supported to grow alongside one another.
